Official Trailer – Final Season

The PV is out. Foch Film clearly saved some budget for this last run—the Tianzun Mountain shots look massive.

Alright, it's actually happening. Stellar Transformation has been running since 2018. That's eight years of watching Qin Yu go from a kid who couldn't even cultivate internal techniques to one of the most terrifying forces in the Divine Realm. And now, with Season 7 dropping May 7 on Tencent Video, we're finally getting the ending. No more "wait till next year." No more cliffhangers. This is it.

If you've been here since the beginning, you already know why this matters. If you're newer or just curious what all the fuss is about, let me walk you through what's coming—and why this finale is such a big deal for fans of I Eat Tomatoes' universe.

What's Going Down: The Tianzun Mountain Arc

Season 7 adapts the final stretch of the novel, centered around a place called Tianzun Mountain. It appears out of nowhere in the Divine Realm, and with it comes a mystical treasure cauldron that can help God Kings claim three special seals—the Qingtian Seal, the Earth Seal, and the Myriad People Seal. Whoever gathers all three becomes the next Tianzun. Simple, right?

Except it's not simple at all. The moment those seals appear, every God King in the realm starts scheming and killing to get them. Qin Yu wants nothing to do with it. He just became a father. He's got a family now. But then his sworn brother Hou Fei gets dragged into the mess by the Blood Sea Queen, and suddenly Qin Yu doesn't have a choice. He steps in to save his brother, and from that moment on, he's in the middle of the bloodbath.

Things escalate fast. Another friend, Jiang Lan, ends up with the Earth Seal and immediately becomes the target of a multi-God King ambush. Qin Yu shows up and basically tells everyone to back off—and they do, because even among God Kings, his reputation carries weight. But when the Myriad People Seal surfaces and the Blood Sea Queen starts slaughtering other God Kings to claim it, Qin Yu's done playing nice. He kills her, takes the seal, and that's when the real trouble begins.

See, three seals together mean a new Tianzun is born. And the moment Qin Yu ascends, an old grudge comes calling. A Tianzun-level enemy from the past—someone who should have been long gone—shows up to settle the score. This is where the finale kicks into overdrive. Qin Yu doesn't just fight a Tianzun. He kills one. And when the dust settles, he becomes the third controller of the Grandmist Universe: Qin Meng.

The Lin Meng Cameo (For Novel Readers)

Here's a little treat for the die-hard I Eat Tomatoes fans. In the final arc, there's a cameo from Lin Meng—who, if you've read Coiling Dragon, you know is none other than Linley Baruch after he transcended his own universe. The official PV deliberately doesn't show his face. They're saving that reveal for the actual episodes. It's a small thing, but it's the kind of detail that shows the production team actually respects the source material and the shared universe it's part of.

Production & What to Expect

🎬 Studio: Foch Film and Yien Animation are back. Foch has been the main studio since Season 1, and while the early seasons had some rough patches (that 2018 CGI was… something), they've steadily improved every year. Season 6 already looked solid, and from the PV, Season 7 looks like they've put in extra effort. The Tianzun Mountain shots have actual scale. The God King fights have weight. It's not Battle Through the Heavens level, but it's easily the best this show has ever looked.

📺 Release Schedule: First two episodes drop May 7, then new episodes every Thursday at 10 AM Beijing time. Expect the season to run for several months—plenty of time to savor the final arc.

📖 Source: I Eat Tomatoes' novel of the same name. This is the guy who also wrote Coiling Dragon, Swallowed Star, and Lord Xue Ying. His stories share a connected multiverse, and Stellar Transformation is one of the pillars.

Is the Final Season Worth Watching?
  • If you've been watching since 2018: You already know the answer. Eight years of investment pays off here. Don't miss it.
  • If you dropped off somewhere in the middle seasons: I get it. The pacing in the middle arcs can drag. But the final season is where everything comes together. Maybe skim a recap and jump back in for the finale.
  • If you're completely new: Don't start here. Go back to Season 1. Stellar Transformation is a journey, and the ending only hits if you've seen Qin Yu struggle through the earlier realms.

Stellar Transformation wasn't always the prettiest donghua. It wasn't always the most consistent. But it's been around for nearly a decade, and it's earned its ending. May 7. Tencent Video. Let's see Qin Yu take his place as Qin Meng.
