Looking at this list, it's clear iQIYI isn't just throwing random shows at the wall and hoping something sticks. There's a pretty solid mix here—cultivation epics, psychological thrillers, mecha sci‑fi, and even some urban fantasy that feels fresh compared to the usual ancient‑China setting.
A few things worth pointing out if you're trying to figure out what to keep an eye on. Absolute Resonance comes from Tian Can Tudou, the same author behind Battle Through the Heavens and Martial Universe—so if you've been following the "Great Thousand World" universe, this is basically required viewing. Night Without Borders is from Chen Dong, the author of Perfect World, so the world‑building is probably going to be massive and the power scaling absolutely unhinged (in a good way).
On the production side, CG Year is handling several titles here—Absolute Resonance, Ascension, God of Wealth, and Over the Divine Realms S2. They've been steadily improving with each project, and seeing them juggle this many at once either means they've scaled up their team or they're really confident in their pipeline. Motion Magic, who's been doing solid work on The Great Ruler and Dragon Prince Yuan, is also back for the Yuan Zun remake—so the action sequences there should be in good hands.
And yeah, a few studios haven't been announced yet, which is normal for shows that are still a year or so out. But given iQIYI's track record, I wouldn't expect any of these to be outright bad. The platform's been investing heavily in donghua over the last couple of years, and this lineup feels like them cashing in on that investment.
